First ongoing program of its kind, this once a month class will focus solely on the business of acting. In it we will break down what's going on in the booming and constant southeast market, how to progress your career no matter what level you're at and making the most of your auditions. You will better understand agencies, submissions, communication, footage, and more.

If you are having a hard time obtaining an agent we will work on pitching yourself. If you are having a hard time communicating with your current agent, we will go through what steps are neccessary to make you a top talent at that agency. How to make the most of your online acting profiles, what footage should be used, how to obtain footage, what you should and shouldnt be auditioning for, and all other things that focus on the BUSINESS of the business will be covered.

Hakim has helped an outstanding amount of actors in the south east progress their careers in a short amount of time. With the industry continually changing this class is a must to stay involved in.


In less than four years Hakim has appeared in close to 30 television shows and feature films all SAG-AFTRA sanctioned between Atlanta and New Orleans. With representation in multiple markets Hakim has an incredible understanding of the business of acting. His credits include HBO's 'Ballers' & 'Eastbound & Down', CW's 'The Originals', SHOWTIME's 'Homeland', BET's 'Being Mary Jane', 'NCIS New Orleans' on CBS and more. You can see him in the upcoming film 'Camera Store' opposite John Rhys-Davies as well as the upcoming drama series 'Queen Sugar' produced by Oprah Winfrey for her OWN Network and directed by acclaimed director Ava DuVernay. He believes his incredible booking spree comes from more than his talent and love for the craft but also his knowledge of the business and work ethic.

  • Be prepared to take LOTS of notes

Cancellations must be done seven days prior to event in order to secure a refund or credit. A $5.00 processing fee will be assesed to all refunds. Credits will expire after six months. Same day cancellations/no-shows result in loss of payment and no credit.
